Suffolk Historic Churches Trust Ride ‘n’ Stride

It's time to dust off your bike and join in this annual event! The idea for Ride 'n' Stride started here in Suffolk (and widely believed that it actually began in Great Finborough in 1982!) and Suffolk has consistently headed the table of funds raised. The Bike Ride is the main source of income to Suffolk Historic Churches Trust to enable it to make grants to churches and chapels of all denominations towards repair and restoration costs.  Indeed St Andrew's has benefited from…

Holy Communion

All are welcome - young or old.  There is an option for children, and those who do not wish to take communion, to receive a blessing instead.  This service will be jointly led by Rev Chris Childs and Derek Ames, and there will be time for a chat and refreshments following the service.

Harvest Festival (with ‘bring and share’ lunch)

Everyone is invited to our Harvest Festival, led by Canon Pauline Higham! Harvest has been celebrated since pagan times and continues to this day as a celebration and thanks for the food grown on the land.   The annual  celebration of the harvest was first recognised officially in the Church of England in 1862....hence many of the well-known hymns we sing today date back to Victorian times. Various locals and village groups of all ages will be represented at this relaxed service; come along and join our worship. …

Messy Church

Calling all children!! Come along to Messy Church on the first Friday of each month There’s no charge (although donations to offset costs are welcome), and no need to book; just turn up…..but don’t forget to bring an adult with you!  Enjoy a fun time of crafts, activities, games, stories, songs and food. Refreshments are served on arrival, and a sandwich tea at the end. (Most suitable for children up to 9 years of age)
